Traffic Signal Issues

Traffic signals are utilized in order to permit the movement of traffic in an orderly and safe manner. As such, a traffic signal issue that is malfunctioning poses a significant safety risk to motorists. To report an issue with a traffic signal, please contact 3-1-1 as soon as you are aware of such a malfunction or outage.

To request local enforcement at an intersection with a traffic signal outage or malfunction, call the Baton Rouge Police Department’s non-emergency line at (225) 389-3874 or the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office at (225) 389-4851. Or, in the case of an emergency, dial 911.
