Traffic Sign Needed

Traffic and other City-Parish signs are an essential resource for citizens and, as such, the City-Parish places a high priority in maintaining signage of all kinds.

Types of traffic signs include, but are not limited to regulatory signs (e.g. stop signs, speed limit signs), warning signs (e.g. railroad crossing), road markers, guide and informational signs, recreational and cultural interest signs, traffic control signs (e.g. construction work, detours), school signs, bicycle signs and emergency signs (e.g. emergency routes).

If you believe a traffic sign is needed, please contact 3-1-1 and be prepared to explain the exact location in which you believe the sign is needed, a thorough description of the reason why the sign is needed and any other relevant information relating to your request.

For more information regarding traffic signs, contact the Traffic Engineering Division at (225) 389-3246.
