What process do I go through in order to get a road striped or re-striped?

Road striping is any kind of surface marking on paved City-Parish roadways to communicate official information, such as traffic directions, roadway boundaries, the location of school zones and much more. The nature of road striping is to act as a safety measure to help ensure that motorists and any others who may be sharing the road are able to clearly and easily see important roadway information. Because of this, it is a priority of the City-Parish to maintain road striping wherever it may be needed to keep citizens safe while traveling Baton Rouge roadways.

To request a road striping or re-striping, please contact 3-1-1 or, to discuss options and timelines for potential road striping, please contact the Traffic Engineering Division at (225) 389-3246.
