If you live, work or are otherwise near a pump station and it looks to be failing, you will likely notice flashing lights and active alarms at the facility. You may also notice sewage running out of a pump station site. If any of these are taking place at or near a pump station, please contact 3-1-1 as soon as possible and provide as much information about the situation, including the location and any indicators that the pump station may currently be failing, at which point the City-Parish Department of Environmental Services will dispatch a pump mechanic to address the issue.
